K12 Technologies Announces School Notification System For Emergency And General Messaging

K12 Technologies, a provider of web based applications for the K-12 market, has launched a new product called K12 Now aimed at strengthening the communication between schools and parents.

K12 Now is a communication system based on email and text messaging that allows educators to communicate with parents about school emergencies or general messaging about school events. Parents register for the service and choose the messaging groups that they want to subscribe to. Besides emergency notification, parents can choose messaging from custom groups created by the school or district such as classroom newsletters, sporting events, school board meetings and more.

Every measure is taken to ensure parent privacy and give parents total control over their account. We provide a custom link for school administrators to put on their website for the parent to easily sign up and enter up to five different addresses such as work addresses, cell phone or pager text messaging for receiving notifications in case of emergencies.”
