Atlanta Podiatrist Dr. Jason Morris Brings Innovative Laser Technology and Aesthetics to Primera Podiatry, Laser and Foot Spa

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) January 23, 2012

Foot, ankle and leg problems have now met their match in Atlanta podiatrist Dr. Jason Morris. His new practice, Primera Podiatry, Laser and Foot Spa, brings the latest in laser technology and aesthetic therapies to Atlanta, Georgia. Until now, these state-of-the-art podiatry treatments have never been accessible to patients in the metro community with many unavailable in the entire South Eastern United States.

Dr. Morris developed his concept for a “total foot center” providing the full range of podiatry services and specializing in laser technology while in his first podiatry surgical practice in Valdosta, Georgia.

“As a podiatrist my goal has always been to provide patients with the best therapies available to first relieve their pain and then resolve their foot problems,” said Dr. Morris. “Many new breakthrough treatments have been and are being developed particularly in the field of laser technology. These modalities require an extensive investment that the average practice cannot afford which means most patients never have access to the newest, cutting-edge treatments. With my new Atlanta podiatry practice, I’m making the commitment to shoulder the costs of training and equipment for the benefits that will be reaped by patients,” he said.

Primera Podiatry, Laser and Foot Spa will provide comprehensive treatment and surgery for all conditions of the foot, ankle and lower leg including bunions, foot pain, ankle sprains, and sports injuries. However, Dr. Morris is taking a major step ahead by featuring the newest laser technologies for management of acute and chronic pain including heel pain, tendonitis and arthritis foot pain. These therapies enable faster pain relief, promote healing, and often provide an alternative to surgery.

Drawing upon his expertise as the first podiatrist to bring the PinPointe Foot Laser technology to Atlanta, Dr. Morris will again offer laser treatment for nail fungus infections. This is a painless procedure and proven to be superior to topical and oral medications. In addition, he will offer a comprehensive array of aesthetic laser treatments for hair removal, vein removal, scar removal, and skin tightening for the knees and legs.

Dr. Morris has extensive training in the use of breakthrough medicines such as the dermal filler SculptraTM for foot enhancement in patients with pain in the ball of the foot or heel due to fat pad atrophy or thinning. In addition, he uses injectable BOTOX® in patients with hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating of the feet and has gotten remarkable results. Rounding out the total foot services is the Primera Foot Spa which will offer medical quality pedi-cures and pedi-facials.

Dr. Morris is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in May 2002. He completed surgical externships at Cambridge Health Alliance – Harvard Medical School, Yale New Haven Hospital, and University of Pennsylvania. His three-year surgical residency was completed at the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Ambulatory Foot and Leg Surgical Residency Program in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Morris has been in private practice in Georgia since 2005.

In the area of laser technology for the feet and legs, Dr. Morris is one of the most highly trained podiatrists in the U.S. He is the first podiatrist in the U.S. to become a certified provider using the Cutera Xeo laser platform which is one of the most advanced and comprehensive aesthetic laser systems in the world. Dr. Morris is the first podiatrist in Georgia to be trained and certified on the MLS M6 Robotic Laser for the treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory conditions. He is the first podiatrist in Georgia and one of the first in the country to implement this breakthrough technology in his medical practice. Dr. Morris is a certified provider in the use of PinPointe Foot Laser, the first cleared by the FDA for the laser treatment of nail fungus infections. He was the first podiatrist to bring this technology to Metro Atlanta and South Georgia.

Dr. Morris is joined by his wife, Dr. Patricia Whitmore, who serves as Medical Director of Primera Foot Spa in Atlanta. Dr. Whitmore earned her doctorate at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio in 2003. She completed her three-year surgical residency at Atlanta Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in 2006. Dr. Whitmore was in private practice in Valdosta, Georgia before moving to Atlanta in 2011. Her special interests are diabetic foot care, wound care, surgical limb salvage, plastic surgical techniques for foot deformity correction including derotational skin plasty, scar excisions, and cosmetic toe shortening and aesthetic skin therapies.

“With the unmatched level of breakthrough laser technology and aesthetic treatments we are providing at Primera Podiatry, Laser and Foot Spa, our practice will become a resource for patients in Metro Atlanta, the state of Georgia and the South East,” said Dr. Morris.

Primera Podiatry, Laser and Foot Spa is located at 1150 Hammond Drive, Building E, Suite 600 in Atlanta, Georgia. The office is now accepting new patient appointments. For more information, go to http://www.primerapodiatry.com or call (678)395-3628.

You may have not intended to do so, but I think you have managed to express the state of mind that a lot of people are in. The sense of wanting to help, but not knowing how or where, is something a lot of us are going through.
